Look! Two days in a row that I am blogging! Although now that I am sitting down to write, I don't really have much new to say from yesterday. So I will write about something that I find such a blessing and can't stop thinking about. And of course it has to do with Nepal. What else?
As many of you know, my team and I were able to spend an entire week at a childrens home in Nepal. We got to live life for a whole week with these 50 or so beautiful young children of God. Something that stuck in my head from that experience was that these children only had 2 sets of clothes, their school uniform and one set of play clothes, also serving as their pajamas. A lot of these kids play clothes are old, and torn and dirty and then they go sleep in them at the end of the day. Bob, who owns the childrens home, said that someday he would love to get pajamas for all of these kids.
That stuck in my head and heart ever since that day. I prayed about it all the time, but didn't really know how me, just one person, could change that. Well, as of this last week, with a lot of prayers from everybody and a lot of help from my family, that need has been met. All 50 or so kids in that home will have a new fresh pair of pajamas to change into at the end of each day. I wish I could be in Nepal to hand deliver them to these kids, it really would be the best experience ever to be able to see them again and just bless them with something that they have never even thought they needed.
It's little things like this that we all take for granted. We don't realize how much of a luxury it is for us to change into something clean and comfortable at the end of each day. So that's a little piece of my heart for you all. PLEASE pray for all of these children, having to grow up in such a hostile environment, and having to stand up for their faith in a country that doesn't accept Christianity. They have a long journey ahead of them, and it means so much to me, and them, knowing they have friends in the United States praying for them. Maybe you all will get another blog tomorrow. Maybe. --Dani

Wow, Danielle! I am so touched that through your caring and the faith of others those precious children will have have "jammies."
I haven't answered your blog from yesterday. Two things - yeah for the 2 Dans! Super happy for both of you and I'm lifting prayers up for both of you and your relationship.
And, if my grand daughter is going to read the Bible every day, so am I! Yes, I read the Bible but not consistently every day, some days more than others.
I'll check for your blog every day, don't want to miss anything that is going on in your life.
Way to go Dani with the pajamas! What a follow through to an inspiration! I know those kids will really appreciate those new clothes. You’re to be commended for coordinating and praying for that successful outreach to those kids. Keep up the good work. May god inspire you with more helps for the kids in Nepal. I remember how pathetic the kids were dressed in the orphanage that I visited in Vietnam. I wish I had thought of something like that for them. By the way, I’m still praying for Shristi. How’s she doing?
