Happy Thursday! And what a great Thursday it is too! I have to say, enjoying 60 degree weather outside, having my favorite tv show come back on tonight, and having only one final day left of my winter break class is not a bad way to enjoy today! I have been taking a winter break class for the past two weeks, and boy has it been a lot of work! I guess when I signed up for it I didn't quite realize that they would be cramming a whole semesters worth of work into two weeks, therefore causing the class to be very stressful and busy. I'm ok with that though, because I got 4 credit hours out of the way in only two weeks! The class is all about poetry and social injustice issues. We have had to write a lot of poetry in this class, and I never quite realized about myself that I can be a poet. Everybody can. The class has really helped me find my voice and opinions on certain issues going on all over the world, and it's been kind of interesting. But I do have to say how happy I am that it is over tomorrow!
A few of you have been asking how Shristi is doing. And for those of you who don't know, Shristi is one of the little girls in the childrens home that I had the joy of spending a week at over the summer in Nepal. Over the last couple of months she has gotten very sick, holding on for her life every single day. Here is the update I received this morning:
"Shristi is still in a coma, but is more responsive than before. She remains off the respirator and no longer needs to receive oxygen. The doctor told Arjun today that she will probably be in the PICU for another 4-5 days and then will be moved to a regular room for a couple of weeks before being discharged. Bobbie and I will see her as soon as we arrive on the 21st. I look forward to speaking with the doctors face to face."
This is good news! She has been in a coma for a long long time now, and most of the time very unresponisve, so it is great to read that she is a little responsive to the people there in the hospital with her. Thank you to all of you who are praying for my friend Shristi. I will continue to post updates as I get them.
Again, happy Thursday to everyone, and I hope there is a great weekend ahead for all of you! --D

Thanks Dani. We'll continue to pray for Shristi.
That is an intense class! I'm glad you had an opportunity to "strecht" a little. 4 credits! Yeah!
G'pa and I would love to read some of your poetry.
That is great news about Shristi.
