Greetings from Pokhara, Nepal! We arrived about noon today, which gives us a good chance to take a day of rest before embarking on our 12 day trek tomorrow bright and early. The drive here from Kathmandu was long and windy through the foothills, but it was gorgeous! Our morning tea stop was a great time to visit with our contacts, connect with the locals and breath in the beauty of Nepal.
Tomorrow morning we fly to Jomson and begin our trek to the Manage (pronounced mon-ahge') region. We are loving being with James Lhomi. His heart for the people of this region is contagious. He has told lots of stories about Ben. He misses him so. He also speaks often of being thankful for New Life and theMILL, and so grateful that we continue to send teams. We are excited to serve him in reaching the Managi people.
The team continues to enjoy connecting more with one another, praying together, laughing together and enjoying being in Nepal. We had a chance to visit one of First Love's (our contact Bob's organization) children's homes in Kathmandu. The team came alive like never before spending time with these 14 precious children, all of them are orphaned by one or more parent and a few have been rescued from the streets. Their faces are still etched in our minds. We look forward to our time at the other home in Chitwan.
We covet your prayers and miss you!!

Good morning to my#1 great granddaughter.I really enjoy the blogs and will be looking forward to any received. It sounds like every thing is going well. great grandma D
We, too, are enjoying your adventure by way of your blog inputs from Nepal. We haven’t expected any information since 7/29 as we imagine that you’re pretty remote while on your trek for 12 days. So we’ll keep watching and praying for your well being until we hear again in another week or so. Speaking of watching, we feel like we’re looking down on you as we researched the various map sites and found that National Geographic Maps give a lot of information on Nepal. We found where we could enter the town/village name and let it search for it. Out of the 21 places mentioned on your itinerary we found 11 of the 21 villages/towns. So we’ve tracked your progress every day up through Manang (today), but we won’t know exactly where you are again until Besisahar (a week from tomorrow). This way as we monitor your progress on the map, we can pray for all of you knowing you’re in a certain spot. Blessings to you and the team. We pray God’s grace and protection for all of you.
Love ya,
Grandpa and Grandma Spray
