I love being in college! I have found myself several times over the past couple of weeks just stopping to thank God for allowing me to be here. Maybe it's the time of year, or that I am just really loving my classes this semester, I don't know, but for once I feel like I am where I should be. And some people don't get to enjoy and experience the college atmosphere, and I wish they could. I think of some of my friends who are getting their degree through online courses and such, which is great, but they don't get to mingle everyday on a college campus with other people in their same shoes.
It's an almost perfect day outside, about 75 degrees today with a perfect blue sky! I am having a picnic on campus after my class with somebody who sometimes plays like a mentor to me. I'm very excited to meet with her today, because I know she will be challenging me and encouraging me in my walk with Jesus, as it is a struggling time right now.
But over the past couple of weeks I can't help but wonder what my life would be like if I were anywhere but here. I wouldn't have the same people in my life who are oh so wonderful! I wouldn't be here on this college campus enjoying it as much as I am, and I wouldn't be learning so much about myself if I were anywhere else. Thank you, God, for allowing me to be right where I am!

until you're a mother, you won't understand just how happy it makes me, as your mom, to know that you're so happy and content.
it makes me think of how important it is to live in the moment. there were times when you didn't think you'd go to college or stay in college. but you knew you wanted to be there and you've worked hard.
so don't look back and don't get wrapped up too much in the future. enjoy where you are right now. heck, i don't need to say that... you're already doing it.
