My roommate, Emily, often times asks me what my favorite moment in life is. Every time she asks me, my answer changes because I am often times reminded of great moments throughout my life. My mom gave me an idea, to get me to start blogging more, to make a series of blogs describing some of those favorite moments in my life. So here is one of my favorite moments thus far in my life. More to come!
The first answer I gave my roommate when she asked this question was the day of my 16th birthday. My family and I were at Universal Studios "Islands of Adventure" in Florida on this day and I remember having such a happy peaceful feeling the whole day where I was just enjoying myself and not having any worries. The weather was so perfect, and I have never had such a good amusement park experience. This was back in the day when both my parents would get on all the rides and roller coasters, so we had fun as a family going on all the amazing roller coasters.
I remember sitting at a picnic table during lunch time (eating chicken nuggets of course!) and watching people go on this water rapids ride. What the people on the ride didn't know was that people on the land watching them could pay a quarter into this machine that would dump water on them right when they entered a tunnel. My family and I just sat there for probably at least 2 hours just watching these people on the ride getting soaked, and cracking up.
I was so happy and content that day that I did not even worry about when I'd have to get back to the real world. I was finally 16 and enjoying the day with my favorite family ;-). There have been a lot of great memories on family vacations from the past 20 years, but that day tops them all I think.

we were not sitting there for 2 hours. it was half an hour at the most. time must have seemed so much longer when you were younger.
and i thought standing on the bar, having the whole restaurant sing happy birthday to you, would have been included in this favorite moment.
I loved squirting those people.I think we spent $10 bucks on quarters just so we could squirt those unsuspecting people - LMBO - good times :-)
What is the connection of Baby Olevia with this fun memory?
