As I have said before, I am so excited to go to Nepal, and can't wait to actually be over there doing something because during this time all I can really be doing is praying for the country. I believe that prayer is so powerful, and right now more than ever Nepal needs PRAYER! The country of Nepal is very unstable right now, and the National Defense Army has just recently stated that they want all Christians to leave Nepal. There have been several bombings, one recently in a Catholic Church where three people were killed. It is in fact a dark and scary place right now and my heart breaks for the country, I ask that anybody reading this will be praying for the country of Nepal as well, along with our team that is going to venture over there and for all of the Christians currently living there and ministering there.
Romans 14:8 says "If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord." I said from the very beginning when I was just thinking and praying about going on a trip that I am not scared. That stays true even now, I am the Lord's, and He has chosen for me to go over to that country and I'm not going to let Satan and his darkness get in the way of God's plan for me, our team, and Nepal. Our team has faith that we can bring light to this very dark place, if God didn't have great plans for the country of Nepal than I don't think Satan would be trying so hard to attack it. Nepal IS God's country and I can't wait to see how he uses the 10 of us over there. But we can't do it without the support of the people closest to us, we need prayer, and I would greatly greatly appreciate it if you all could be praying for Nepal during this time.
On another note, this past weekend was filled with team events. Topping it off on Sunday afternoon at a ropes course that our team did all together. There were many obstacles and challenges that we had to work as a team to get through, it was challenging mentally and physically, but in the end it taught us a lot about ourselves and each other and the importance of communication. At the start of the day we were considered a "group", throughout the training we moved from group to "team" and maybe even on our way to becoming family, because that is what we need to be in order to work as a whole in Nepal for a full month. It was a really good weekend all together! Thanks for reading. Maybe someday I will blog about climbing the incline, as well as my trip to Washington DC.

Yeah, a new blog - and a great one. You are definitely in many people's prayers and will continue to be.
I am going to have our church start praying this Sunday.
Keep the faith!
i love hearing how your team gets closer and you see it forming more as a family as you get closer to your departure date. and i love hearing how much you care for the people of nepal.
there will be a lot of prayers being lifted for you and your team. God will see you through whatever that month looks like.
